Our Purpose & Goals The purpose of the Ontario Electricity Coalition is to establish an effective opposition to the deregulation and privatization of electricity in the province of Ontario and our three main goals are: 1. To stop the opening of the electricity market and privatization of our electrical systems. 2. To gain real public ownership and control of these systems. 3. To ensure that the generation of electricity be focused on harm reduction and elimination to the environment through conservation and the use and development of green power.
